Eligibility during the COVID-19 State of Emergency

During the COVID-19 State of Emergency, individuals who need medical insurance coverage for doctors, pharmacy, or hospital services should complete an application for Presumptive Eligibility Medicaid. This coverage is temporary and ends 2 months after the application month unless you submit an application for regular Medicaid. You can start an application online at or you can call 855-459-6328 for immediate assistance with completing an application over the phone.

Traditional Medicaid Open Enrollment

The Open Enrollment period for Traditional Medicaid will be November 2, 2020 through December 15, 2020. MCO options for 2021 are changing.  You can choose from the list below.

Passport Health Plan by Molina Healthcare

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Kentucky

WellCare of Kentucky

If you are already enrolled in one of the MCOs above, you do not have to do anything. If you want to pick a new MCO, you must do so during the open enrollment period.
